Sunday, July 4: The fourth of July! We went to Church in Waimea and had Father Bob’s sermon. I feel better when Fr. Bob gives the sermon, rather than Deacon Bill. Father’s are more uplifting and easier to digest.
After church, we went to the Ace hardware store and picked up the rebuild kit for the Delta kitchen faucet. I also picked up some wet/dry 320 and 600 grit sandpaper for the marble table. Based on my earlier testing, I am going to apply a coat of polyurathane varnish after wet sanding and see what happens. I fixed the faucet, its nice not to drip anymore and wet sanded a portion of the table ready for the test.
We had a panini from the Village Market for lunch and Sandy made a fruit basket for the 4th of July Pupu party. Lots of goodies to share too!
We drove down on Waikoloa Village Road to view the fireworks. We had conflicting info about the time, 8:00 or 8:30 p.m. and we missed it by a few minutes by leaving at 8:10 or so. We did get to see the fireworks from the Mauna Lani however.
